Honesty

Honesty- refers to a facet of moral character and denotes positive, virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness, and straightforwardness along with the absence of lying, cheating, or theft.

Lack of honesty is one of the things that destroys relationships. Not just relationships with your wife or husband. Just people in general. Most people cannot take a hard truth about a situation. Especially in a relationship. We tend to not be straight up and to the point because of the fear, or worry of hurting the other person/s feelings. Well, personally, I can respect a straight up answer than a lie anyday. I believe that most of the time. Women make men lie to them, simply because of what I stated earlier. We don't want to hurt the other person. Its actually quite simple. Do not ask questions that you are not man, or woman enough to take the answer, especially an honest answer.

Now do not get me wrong. There are ways to deliver and honest answer without shredding the person/s heart. A big one that comes to mind is. Honey, does this make me look fat? KNOWING that if that man tells you yes. Typically, women will get upset. But you asked, so don't get upset. Because from that point, our approach to you will be different. So do you want us to lie to you, or tell you the truth? Noone likes to get their feelings hurt. But I think that the hurt comes from this.

In the person/s mind, they have already set a standard to the question they are getting ready to ask. So when it does not match up. Its a problem. That goes back to what I said about, being man enough, and woman enough to take the truth. It reminds me of a famous quote from a Jack Nicholson movie. "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH"!! Another big one is, how many men has she slept with before you came along?

Men typically do not want to hear this. He wants to feel that his is special. That he is the best you have ever had. Now, what do you do if he ask you that question? Do you tell the truth, or do you lie to not hurt his feelings. Now, is he going to be man enough to take that answer? If you have had a partner better than him. Get ready to drop that bomb on him!! See this is how this could play out with that situation if you don't tell the truth. More than likely you will be dissatisfied in bed, end up cheating, then losing him. See how good HONEST communication works?

Yes, I know that a hard truth is and can be tough to deliver sometimes. But as I said before, there are WAYS to deliver the truth, without destroying the person/s heart. I believe in being just straight up and for real. As a young man growing up and learning. Thats how its need to be....honest. But make sure that you can take what you can dish out! Is there a such thing as too much honesty? Some people may think so. But here is how that works. Due to the fact that people are born and raised with different morals. Also different cultures, what is exceptable to one person may not be exceptable to the next. I mean just look at the differences between male and female.

Women are typically touchy about their weight and age, men aren't. Sometimes and honest answer can be excepted, depending on the mood or the mindset of the person you are communicating with. So, it PAYS to try and have an open mind about all things before you just, freak out on who is coming to you with that answer of the question you asked. It goes back to being mature enough to handle the truth.
